Anonymize Candidates and Instant Preview Updates

Anonymize Candidates and Instant Preview Updates

Clients ask for CVs before they commit to interviews. You send a profile. They contact the candidate directly. Placement fee gone.

This happens too often. And you told us about it.

Anonymization has been one of our most requested features. Many of you reached out asking for a way to share candidate profiles without exposing their identity. Special thanks to Frank den Dulk and Lamin Sawaneh for pushing us on this one.

Today we ship two updates that change how you work with candidates.

Anonymize Any Candidate

One toggle. The candidate becomes anonymous.

Names become "Candidate A". Company names become generic descriptions. "Worked at Google" becomes "Worked at a global technology company". Contact details disappear. LinkedIn vanishes.

The profile still tells a compelling story. Skills, achievements, experience duration. Everything a hiring manager needs to evaluate fit. Nothing they need to bypass you.

How It Works

Click the anonymize button on any resume. Our AI processes the entire profile:

  • Names replaced with placeholders
  • Companies become industry descriptions ("Large financial institution", "Tech startup")
  • Schools become generic ("Technical university", "Business school")
  • Contact info removed
  • About Me sections scrubbed of identifying details

The anonymization happens in your browser. The original data stays untouched. Toggle it off, everything comes back.

Two Modes

Full AnonymizationPersonal Info Only
Hides names, companies, institutionsHides names and contact details
Locations generalized to countryKeeps company and school names visible
Best for cold outreach, maximum protectionBest when work history matters more

Switch between modes instantly. No reprocessing needed.

The Use Case

You found a perfect candidate. The client wants to see the CV before scheduling. You send an anonymized version. They like what they see. They commit to an interview. You reveal the identity.

Your fee is protected. The candidate gets a fair shot. The client evaluates skills, not names.

Real-Time Preview Updates

The second update is smaller but removes daily friction.

Before: Edit a resume. Switch to the PDF preview tab. Nothing changed. Refresh the page. Now it shows.

After: Edit a resume. The preview updates instantly. No refresh. No waiting.

Every change reflects immediately. Text edits, section reorders, photo uploads. The preview stays in sync.

This works for the resume editor, the candidate profile, and the motivation letter. Everything you type appears in real-time across all open views.

We rebuilt our data layer to make this possible. Changes flow through an event system that updates every connected component. No polling. No manual refresh. Just instant feedback.

Both features are live now. The anonymization toggle is in the resume header. The real-time updates just work.
